What Performance Really Means to Us

Linda Secondi

At Lithe, performance isn’t loud.

It’s considered.

For us, performance shows up in the small, consistent details. How a product applies. How it wears. How it feels at the end of the day. It’s less about making a statement and more about creating something you can rely on.

That perspective is personal.

Growing up, I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup. What began as curiosity turned into a quiet interest in understanding how products work and how beauty can support everyday life in subtle ways. Over time, that curiosity shaped how I think about performance.

A Thoughtful Approach to Performance

I was raised by an engineer, and I naturally approach beauty with a problem-solving mindset. I tend to focus on precision, balance, and how something functions in real use, not just how it looks at first glance.

To us, performance is something you experience over time. In how a product behaves on day one and months later. In how it holds up through long days, changing environments, and real routines.

Our products are designed with longevity in mind, but always with comfort and ease as priorities.

Made for Real Life

Performance isn’t just about lasting power. It’s about how a product fits into daily life.

A liner that stays in place without feeling heavy or dry. A lipstick that wears comfortably while maintaining its tone. A palette that performs consistently whether you’re moving quickly or taking your time.

These details matter because makeup should support your day, not compete with it.

Tested and Refined Over Time

I didn’t come from a traditional beauty background. I’ve built Lithe Beauty gradually, learning alongside experienced partners and developers in the industry, as well as with my husband and business partner, Matt.

Because of that, our development process is careful and iterative. We test, refine, and revisit formulas based on how they perform in everyday conditions across different skin types and routines.

We pay attention to how products feel after hours of wear, how they apply over time, and whether they continue to perform without extra effort.

Familiar, Dependable Staples

We focus on creating products that earn their place in your routine. Not trend-driven moments, but familiar staples you return to because they work well and feel right.

The liner you reach for without thinking. The lip pencil that blends easily and wears comfortably. The brow product that does its job without calling attention to itself.

Timelessness, for us, is part of performance.

Quality You Notice Over Time

Quality is often felt more than announced. It shows up in textures that apply smoothly, pigments that build naturally, and formulas that feel balanced rather than overworked.

When something is well made, it becomes easy to use and easy to trust.

That’s the standard we work toward.

Our Definition of Performance

To us, performance means reliability, comfort, and consistency. Makeup that holds up through real days and feels good to use, again and again.

These are the products we use ourselves at Lithe. Thoughtfully developed, refined over time, and designed to fit naturally into everyday routines.
